| 自己紹介 | Introduction: Salutations! My name is Hunter, and I am from the countryside in America. I am just a goofy guy that is passionate about language learning. I have a wide array of interests starting with sight seeing, video editing, photography, coding, and of course my all-time favorite, video games! I have been living in Japan since 2016. I started as an exchange student living in Tokyo, then found myself living in Kochi, eventually migrated off to Oita, and recently found myself coming back full circle near Tokyo in Kanagawa Prefecture. If you need recommendations on places to go, I am your guy! Teaching Experience: I taught English online with this school for two years and then became a full-time teacher for two more years. During my teaching experience, I gained confidence in my skills. My primary focus is to help students sound natural while speaking English. I help with pronunciation, and speech patterns, and provide helpful study practices to boost their confidence while speaking with foreigners. Particularly, the skillset that I have really honed in over the years, is explaining in simple terms how to pronounce different English vowels. I know that a lot of Japanese people struggle with differentiating T, B, D, P or C, Z and especially the R sound. I spent many hours trying to figure out different practice methods to learn each of these vowels to help students sound that much more like a native and easily understood. But of course, having fun is the most important factor to studying. I always try to mix in fun little games or roleplaying in order to help students learn because I believe you are going to absorb more if you have dopamine running through your brain instead of feeling like English has to be a struggle. I think one of my biggest strengths though is being able to help in both English and Japanese. I passed the JLPT 1 several years ago, and have since gone on to use both languages to help students absorb topics that may have otherwise been too intimidating. 自己紹介： 皆さん初めまして、私はハンターと申します！アメリカ出身で８年間ほど日本に在住しています。趣味は観光、動画編集、映像撮影、コーディング、そして一番お気に入りはゲームです！ 留学に来たのは２０１６年です。一年間で帰国する予定でしたが、和食が好きすぎて帰るのを断念しました。日本に引っ越してからの経緯を簡単に言うと、最初の二年間は東京で過ごしました。都会が苦手なのかな?との思いで四国の高知県に引っ越してみましたが、田舎過ぎて不便だなと自分の判断ミスに気付きました。もう一回頑張って大分県に引っ越しましたが、今度は都会が恋しくなり、神奈川県に引っ越してきました。現在は幸せで楽しく過ごしています！ 教育経験： 四年間ほど経験があります。２年間はこの大人の英会話倶楽部サイトで積みました。その後フルタイムの講師になり、小中高学校で二年間ほど英語を教えました。その間に重点的に教えたのは英語の自然な話し方でした。特に英語での子音に苦労する方が多いので、T, B, D, Pの相違を聞き分けるコツを教えたり、Rの正しい発音を叩き込んでご指導します！個人的に言語を勉強するにあたって楽しさが不可欠だと思いますので、イントネーション、表現、勉強方法や海外での振る舞いなどをゲームを交えて教えています。 将来ネイティブのように話したい！という想いのある方は、ぜひ私のレッスンを予約してくださいね！ |
