| 自己紹介 | Hello everyone! I am Teacher Ali. I have a bachelor’s degree in English Studies and in History, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. I am a fully qualified high school English teacher. I am a teacher at a high school where I teach English as a Home Language (native level). I have also been teaching English online since September 2016 and hold a TEFL certification. I have taught to a diverse group of students from all over the world. I have lived in South Africa, the USA, and Mexico. I am very interested in learning about different cultures, especially Japanese culture because of its uniqueness and particular nuances. I have always been interested in education from a young age. My experience has taught me that learning is a lifelong pursuit; and that it is never too late to learn something new again! My hobbies include gardening, photography, and watching movies. Some of my favourite movies include Studio Ghibli movies by Hayao Miyazaki - whom I consider one of the best directors and animators of all time. I am particularly interested in teaching situational English (i.e., ordering at a café; talking about the weather; meeting a friend; going to the movies, etc.) Additionally, I also enjoy teaching grammatical concepts (sentence structure; word order; conjugations; tenses, etc.) Furthermore, for advanced students we can also up our conversational game and discuss more in-depth topics (such as: world news; current events; historical and cultural themes; etc.) If your level of English is advanced enough, I am open to collaboratively read and study an English book or poem in class. Literary criticism and poetry analysis is a passion of mine! I believe in igniting a spark of curiosity in the mind of the student – and believe in being a guide for the student in their learning journey. - Ali先生は、こちらが発話できる状況を作ってくださるので30分があっという間でした。 レッスン終了後、会話の中で私が話した内容の文法的間違いをひとつひとつ直してくれたものを送っていただきました。 話している時は間違いにまったく気づいていなかったので、文字情報でチェックできて大変有難いです。
- Ali先生とのレッスンは、私がこれまで学んだ先生方の中で、最も「学び」の回数が多いと感じました。というのも、ちょっとした文法ミスにもその幾度立ち止まり、1．訂正、2．アドバイス、3．正しい内容をと順に伝授してくださいました。レッスン中は、ノート片手に挑み、聞き逃さないように学習内容をメモしています。しかし、どうしても書き漏れてしまう箇所があります。そんな時にも、レッスン終了後、先生からのレッスンアドバイスを確認することで、全体を網羅できました。Ali先生、ありがとうございました。
